Nijntje.

The fact that The Netherlands was in the Finals during the FIFA World Cup last year meant that the whole country went crazy with orange. Decorations, parties, costumes, etc. My family and I were there for the "Huldiging" when the Dutch team came to Museumplein in Amsterdam. It was epic and when I walked to work I saw a little proof of the spirit The Netherlands had during the World. Cup.

I also found out that you apparently can get Ostrich Steak here. Interesting.

I finished my miniature 1/12 scale of the Chrysanthemum dress. It is so adorable and hopefully I can take pictures once it's put in the museum so I can take pictures of it and post them. After lunch, we worked on getting Nijntje done because I have to bring her to Utrecht tomorrow for the "Centraal Museum" there. I also hope I can take pictures in the museum of her because she is the cutest thing ever. Nijntje is Miffy (not Mimsy, thank dad!) in English but she's originally a famous Dutch children's book icon drawn by Dick Bruna. Time goes by so fast when working on these kinds of things. I love it!

Please note: Nijtje wears orange. I'm not making this up. Google her. Do it.

Also, the radio is not censored here and since we listen to the radio all day every day in the atelier, I have come to realize that Enrique Englesias is "loving" anyone. Although I knew that was not the real version, it's a bit blunt when heard on the radio when you're trying to sing along. Enrique, please go away and make room for real songs I can sing to. Thank you.
