The wedding dress is finally starting to look like a wedding dress. The fabric came out looking great and as I ironed it while Edwin had an interview with a prospective intern for September, it looked more and more "wedding." After I finished ironing, we rolled out 8 times 6 meters of tulle and lined it up with the outside fabric. We then went on a little excursion and went to Waterloo Plein where they have a thift/vintage market. Edwin bought an old fashioned winter sweater that is just adorable and I need to go back. We also went to a fabric store called Boeken and if Tallahassee had a store like that, Joanns would be out of business. It looked small inside because it's 3 little stores connected into one but they had so much nice fabric and notions and embellishments they put major stores to shame. And I think we all know which ones I'm talking about.

All 3 storefronts are part of the fabric store. It. Is. Awesome. |
After lunch I tacked all 9 layers together, which was a huge pain in the ass, and gathered the skirt part while Edwin worked on the corset. This took forever because 8 layers of tulle don't really like to cooperate. Around the end of the day Nick came by and he wanted to see the dress on a dressform so we could see better what it looks like. This took up a lot of time and I ended up leaving an hour late. But the dress is looking awesome and it's fun that I had/have a real hand in making it.

Also, I got Starbucks this morning and for a Grande White Mocha I paid 7 EUROS 90!!! What the hell. If it wasn't so delicious I'd be super pissed.
€ 7,90 voor een kop koffie! Da's wel heel veel ja. Nu weet je gelijk waarom er in NL niet zo veel Starbucks zijn. Ons ben zuunig!
