Instead of getting straight to work, Edwin and I went to the Noordermarkt again and he bought some more fabric for the collection. There was a pile of vintage dresses and Edwin and I both grabbed the same one. It was a Celine dress and it was awesome. The lady told Edwin the dress was 15 Euros and he paid immediately. Then she saw the label and said she couldn't sell a Celine dress for only 15 Euros. Edwin said he already paid and she said he was right. Then she told us to look up Celine on the internet because she was a well known designer. "Oh really?" Edwin said, "I just really love the fabric." Whahaha! If only she knew :-)
Here's a picture of the dress. If you tell me it's not awesome, you're a liar.
Edwin decided it was time to get Cracking because there are only 3 months until the collection has to be done. I started working on a corset dress and around the end of the day Roswitha van Rijn, a friend of Edwin's and a shoe designer, came over. She didn't know what to wear to a funeral tomorrow of Gijs Theo (a man who had mysteriously disappeared and was missing for about a month before he was found drowned in the river behind central station. He was on the news a lot and his face was all over Amsterdam), her ex. We had fun as she tried things on and she'll be wearing Edwin's clothes tomorrow. Here are some of her shoes. She's really good.
Then it was time to go back to my grandparents'. Every day on the bus I pass the cutest house. It's a little run down but it's got a lot of character and I love it. Naturally, I had to take a picture of it.
